Dallas, Specifically
Most people who live anywhere else in Dallas-Fort Worth call it the Bubble, and Kyden Point is built for the people inside it when something personal surfaces. The Park Cities (Highland Park and University Park) sit inside the city of Dallas but operate like their own small town. Four square miles. Their own independent school district, consistently ranked the top public district in Texas. Their own police forces. Their own town hall. A social fabric calibrated over a hundred years to keep what happens here, here.
Highland Park Village, built in 1931 at Preston and Mockingbird, was the first self-contained shopping center in America. It’s a National Historic Landmark now. It is also where, on a Saturday morning, you might run into the Fortune 500 CEO who relocated his family from California last year, the managing partner from one of the big private-equity shops in town, somebody whose name is on a wing at UT Southwestern, and at least one person from one of the five families that owns a piece of a Dallas pro sports team. They are not all best friends. They do know each other. Kyden Point’s Dallas clients are usually two or three of them.
Twenty-one Fortune 500 companies sit in DFW. AT&T, Texas Instruments, American Airlines, Toyota, McKesson, Kimberly-Clark, CBRE, Charles Schwab, to name a handful. Dallas has been the number-one US metro for corporate-headquarters relocations since 2018. So a lot of the people now living in the Bubble didn’t grow up in it. They moved their kids into HP ISD in the last few years and are still figuring out who’s at which charity ball, whose father was in which fraternity at SMU, which country club has a seven-year wait list and which one isn’t taking applications at all. Kyden Point sees a particular volume of these calls — the brand-new-to-Dallas CEO whose family is now adjusting to all of it at once.
The wealth-management side: Tolleson, CH Investment Partners, True North, Cresset, managing what these families are sitting on after the relocation closed or the carry hit. The legal side: Haynes Boone, Akin Gump, Locke Lord, Dallas-based firms that have handled the corporate and family-office work quietly for decades. The medical side: UT Southwestern and Baylor Scott & White, where senior physicians have to be careful about where their own families are seen seeking care. All of these run on the same map. A clinic visit on Mockingbird Lane is visible. A car parked in the wrong spot at the wrong office can become a story by Tuesday.
That is the gap Kyden Point exists to close. The legal side already has discretion built into how it operates inside the Bubble. The clinical side does not, at the same standard. Kyden Point is the version of that for the clinical work. Outside the Park Cities. Outside the in-circuit referral path. Run on secure platform so nothing about a person ends up in a waiting room any of their neighbors might happen to be sitting in.
Who Calls From Dallas
- The corporate-relocation CEO whose family arrived in the Park Cities inside the last three years, carrying public visibility, an unfamiliar social fabric, and a posture they have to keep.
- The private-equity managing partner moving through a carry event, a partnership dispute, or the personal cost of running a portfolio at this scale.
- The pro-team owner or member of a sports-ownership family whose name is on a stadium, a foundation, or a public letter.
- The Dallas family-office principal or wealth-management senior partner whose own household has become the situation.
- The UT Southwestern or Baylor Scott & White senior physician or administrator carrying clinical and personal exposure that cannot route through the institution.
- The spouse or adult child of a Dallas-based executive who has been watching deterioration in real time and is out of trusted local options.
What Brings Dallas Clients to This Practice
- Acute crisis surrounding a deal close, a carry distribution, a board action, or a regulatory event.
- Marriage strain that cannot become known inside the Park Cities social fabric.
- Addiction surfacing for a senior leader or inside the household, under deadline pressure.
- Family system stress involving an adult child, an aging parent, a sibling, a blended-family transition, or a generational wealth-transfer event.
- Combat or first-responder trauma carried into civilian executive or board seats.
- Stabilization before, during, or after a high-stakes event: the IPO road show, the divorce filing, the public-letter response, the trial, the stadium opening.

The Clinician
Mack Kyles, LPC, MSW. Over 15 years across clinical settings and crisis management. Trauma, addiction, family systems, marriage and family therapy. Combat veteran.
Most of the calls Kyden Point gets from Dallas don’t fit one diagnostic box. The board crisis is also a marriage crisis. The deal pressure surfaces an addiction at home. The teenager’s collapse is happening while the parent is preparing for testimony. Breadth across the full clinical range is what lets one clinician hold the whole tangled situation, instead of routing the client to four different ones.
Dallas FAQ
Is this therapy or something else?
The foundation is clinical counseling. The operational model is executive counseling. Sessions are scheduled as needed with a defined scope, not weekly sessions indefinitely. Clients can keep Kyden Point as their advisor on call. Different shape than standard outpatient care. Many Dallas clients describe it as the clinical counterpart to how Haynes Boone or their multi-family-office advisor already operates for them: defined engagement, structured outcome, available on call after.
Why do clients choose a secure platform instead of an in-person therapist?
Three reasons. Visibility. Walking into an office in Uptown or Preston Hollow means someone in your professional network might see you, and Dallas is a smaller city than its skyline suggests. Schedule. Calendars at this level don’t accommodate driving across town for a fifty-minute slot. And the work itself. Most of what happens in this practice doesn’t require in-person presence. Sessions run from a home office before a board call, a hotel suite between meetings, any space with a door that closes. Concierge engagement is in-person and is offered separately, at the client’s location.
Why no insurance?
Insurance requires a formal diagnosis. That diagnosis becomes a permanent part of your medical record, grants third-party access to your file, and constrains what can be addressed and how long it can take. For the people who come here, the diagnosis itself is the liability. In Dallas that can mean carry positions, custody, Park Cities or major-foundation board appointments, family-office or defense security clearances, club memberships under review. The practice is built to keep that paper trail from ever starting. No insurance. No diagnosis filed. No clinical record that follows you anywhere.
